Description

Aquastat+ Controllers are immersion type devices for limiting or regulating the temperature of liquids in boilers, storage tanks, and other applications where temperature control is required.

Features:

  • Totally enclosed Micro Switch+ snap-acting switches operate on temperature rise to setpoint.
  • Visible control point scale and external adjustment screw permit easy setting.
  • Horizontal or vertical insertion of the sensing element.
  • Direct or well immersion of the sensing element.
  • Models available for strap-on mounting.
  • Remote bulb model may be used to sense air temperature in ducts and in outside air sensing applications.
  • Select models have wells.

Mode of Operation - Upon application power, the load is energized. When the thermostat or other switch opens or there is a loss of power, the load is de-energized and the delay period begins. The compressor will not start again during the delay period. Restart occurs after the delay period has elapsed.

Installation & Operation Notes:

  • Disconnect power at all sources and verify that all circuits are de-energized before starting work
  • Mount the contactor securely in the control compartment or electrical panel as directed by the equipment manufacturer
  • Move line, load, and control wires from the existing contactor to the new contactor, matching wiring diagrams and terminal markings
  • After energizing the system, verify that the contactor pulls in and opens cleanly, with proper operation during system start and stop cycles
  • Confirm that all terminations are tight and that wiring is supported to prevent strain at the terminals

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Inspect the contactor during routine HVAC maintenance for pitted or burned contacts, coil discoloration, or mechanical binding
  • Replace the contactor if the coil fails to energize, if the contacts do not close fully, or if there is evidence of overheating or excessive humming
  • If repeated contactor issues occur, verify that load current and control voltage are within specification and that short cycling is not overstressing the contactor

Certifications & Compliance:

  • Meets ARI 780/790 Standard

User Reviews & Q&A Summary:

  • Common theme is "correct part" for the intended replacement, with users reporting it worked as expected after installation
  • Review feedback frequently mentions straightforward installation for a direct replacement
  • Value and fulfillment are recurring positives (good deal/price and fast shipping)
